Questions about the awards process can be sent to: Named for the National Academies of Practice's Founder, the organization's highest award is presented to a Distinguished Fellow of the National Academies of Practice who has demonstrated outstanding or extraordinary contributions to the National Academies of Practice and interprofessional healthcare.
Interprofessional Group Recognition AwardThis award is given to groups who have made enduring contributions to interprofessional practice and education.
Creativity in Practice & Education AwardThis award recognizes a person and/ or team who display creative solutions in interprofessional education and/or interprofessional practice, thereby achieving improvements in healthcare.

Patient Advocacy AwardThis award recognizes a patient or care partner whose lived experience transformed him, her, or them and how their lived experience transformed healthcare to enhance the well-being of others.

Emerging Interprofessional National Academies of Practice Member of the Year AwardThis award is given to a NAP member who is an early to mid-career professional, serves as an exemplar and demonstrates future promise in contributing to interprofessional practice and to the National Academies of Practice.
NAP Leadership Award (formerly Senator Daniel K. Inouye Award)This award is given to an individual working to advance interprofessional education, interprofessional collaborative practice (IPE/IPCP), and/or interprofessional policy and whose actions and results align with the NAP mission and vision. The award recipient is a non-NAP member who has displayed transformative leadership in advancing IPE/IPCP or interprofessional policy.
Al Rundio Memorial Award for Outstanding PublicationThis award honors Dr. Al Rundio, a former Vice President of Scholarship for the National Academies of Practice (NAP) and Co-Editor of the Journal of Interprofessional Education and Practice (JIEP), by recognizing significant contributions and impact made on interprofessional collaborative practice and/or education through innovative work published in JIEP.
